don't go mistaking paradise for that home across the road

rock maestroes: #3

a simple man who, in his humble way, likes to help presidents of the united states get elected. his pop "anthem" born in the usa was the bass and drums of ronald reagan's and george bush senior's succesful election campaigns in the 1980s, and as we saw a couple of days ago, his tireless touring of the country, banging those songs and homilies down everybody's ears, helped to knock 3,000,000 off the democrats share of the popular vote.

maybe if he just wore normal clothes?

late election stuff update

ok, it's all over now. george and the girls are lighting the log in the lincoln bedroom, nestling in for four more years. let's forget politics now and settle down to some culture.

tomorrow, glenn "if i don't nail it it's cos there's no fuckin' nail" cripes will be here with the next episode in his "cultural praxis in the 20th century" series.

see you guys on saturday.
